Leslie is the owner of Nourished Lifestyles and has been a dietitian for 10 years in a variety of settings. She has focused her expertise in teaching individuals and families how to eat healthy on a limited budget. Besides family eating, Leslie is passionate about supporting women in achieving body acceptance and focuses on the non-diet approach. Leslie believes that food should be something to enjoy and not fear.

In addition to counseling clients for Nourished Lifestyles, Leslie is also adjunct faculty at the University of New England, teaching hands-on cooking instruction and basic nutrition courses. She hopes to make more community nutrition and cooking classes available at UNE’s brand-new, state of the art, teaching kitchen in the near future.

In addition to managing Nourished Lifestyles, she also volunteers as the State Policy Representative for the Maine Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In this position, she works to monitor state legislation as it impacts the field of dietetics and access to nutrition services.  Leslie is passionate about the role of the Dietitian in healthcare. She believes that the training and rigorous education that dietitians receive sets them apart as the true experts in the field of nutrition. Through this work, Leslie aims to make access to science-based nutrition counseling and services more available to all.

With cooking as her true passion and way of de-stressing, Leslie spends her spare time in the kitchen with her husband and two step children. Her favorite presents include, what her idol, Alton Brown, would consider uni-taskers, like a strawberry huller.
