Melanie is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in Maine offering telehealth nutrition services and in-person meetings or presentations upon request. She specializes in diabetes, healthy lifestyle, and bariatrics (surgical and general weight management). She takes a body-positive approach and focuses on quality of life as a driver for change. She also holds a masters from the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition. She completed her dietetic internship at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Melanie lives in Freeport with her husband, 2 young children, and German shepherd. She enjoys traveling to new places, hiking, dancing, cooking and tasting cuisine from all over the world.
